Hi again, it's me - etc. etc. long re-introductions, it's been so long, how is everyone etc. etc. etc.


Have decided the time is now ripe for a re-entry into the blogosphere. The last time I remember blogging regularly was first year of uni, which daaayyymmmm was a pretty darn long time ago. But new experiences and critical junctures in my life have always had a habit of precipitating into blog entries: this time is no different, I suppose.

In case you haven't caught on, I am now dragging my tired feet through American soil. It's been two and a half weeks since the British Airways plane upon which I sat skidded to a halt at Dulles Airport and I was swooped out into the land of strange, nasal accents and missing Us in colour, labour and favourite and Zs where Ss should be.

Okay so I was going to skip with the whole re-introduction but I think at least a paragraph might be necessary to set the context for all my future posts here. I've just started graduate school - wow, the last time I properly remember using Blogger regularly I was in the heat of trying to get into undergrad - at Georgetown University (long history, this place and I) doing an MA in Government (International Law and Global Security - but for practical reasons and because that's a mouthful, it is generally referred to as ILaw).


So I'm going to cut off abruptly and end here. Because my head still kinda hurts, I had my first paper to write today - it was a pathetic, measley 3-4 pages but I practically spewed brainjuice because of it - so I'm going to sit in bed with a nice bowl of cereal and then retire early. Well it's nearly 1AM so it's not that early.

I'm going to treat myself to going out somewhere tomorrow. Stayed indoors all day today to force myself to do my paper... Ended up napping three million times in the space of five hours and only showering at 5PM.

I make such a dignified grad student, honestly.
